Dornan are currently recruiting for a QAQC Turnover Manager to work on our newly awarded Hyperscale Data Center in Belgium.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in providing a planned approach to the completion of asset tag checklists for pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, operations, testing and final hand-over of facilities, systems, and equipment to the Client.
  • Proactively involve, coordinate, and align with client and other stakeholders to ensure understanding of the turnover process and resolve issues early.  Document important decisions/ alignment/ agreements.
  • Establish close client relationships early; especially with the Contractors and Commissioning/ turnover team.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the system/asset turnover schedule to facilitate the pre-commissioning effort, maintain project milestones, and facilitate the timely turnover of the systems / assets to commissioning.
  • Educate, raise awareness, and gain acceptance of the turnover program with construction, sub-contractors, quality, and client personnel.
  • Host the completions / turnover meeting for all elements of the turnover phase.
  • Represent Dornan in the client’s turnover meetings with ability to accurately answer on behalf of the company in all elements of turnover including punch list close out.
  • Know the system boundaries and status of completion for each system.  Proactively expedite and facilitate any activities as required to maintain the project turnover schedule.
  • Coordinate status and track the completion status of each Asset Tag Checklist
  • Prepare status reports on Asset completion status and highlight any concerns as required.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to arrange vendor representatives required for equipment installation and pre-commissioning activities prior to turnover.
  • Inform project management/operations director and other involved parties of progress, status, and critical issues by system.
  • Facilitate the transfer of care, custody, and control of systems to meet the quality and schedule requirements. Issue formal notification of Mechanical Completion to Client with required signatures.
  • Must have strong computer skills - excel proficient, strong understanding of project scheduling and programs.
  • Must have a strong understanding of construction activities and QA processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce written documents and procedures.

 Qualifications & Experience :

  • Third level degree or relevant industry experience
  • Experience in Data Centres / Industrial or Power is essential.
  • An electrical background would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Sound knowledge of CSA/Mechanical/Electrical
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of BIM360, Microsoft Windows including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and management skills to effect clear communication with project staff
